"I entered an oratorical contest in college because
the grand prize was a semester's tuition, what did I have to lose but the entry
fee? To my surprise I won and I was hooked. There was no greater
high for me than seeing light bulbs come on over people's heads as I talked"
After college Sandra
Bishop hosted two talk radio shows the "Let's Relate in Love"
& "Family Health" in
Cleveland Ohio. She was a graduate of the University of Akron
where she majored in
Philosophy, spending her junior year studying in Italy.
After college Sandra worked briefly for the
Cleveland Rape Crisis Center as the Community Educator. While traveling
about speaking to various groups she realized that there was a shared
experience of victims and decided that she did not want to be defined as one. It
was that experience that motivated her to set out on her own healing
quest.
She founded an organization called the Living Singles Network
which
provided an upscale arena for singles to meet. It was then that she
realized how many desperate people in the world were waiting for someone
else to come along and make them whole. Realizing that, the issue became
not about finding the right person, but rather being the right person.
The radio program provided her the opportunity to help.
Her radio show called "The Let's Relate in Love" evolved from talking simply about singles issues to
addressing issues of personal development and spirituality. Sandra spurs
listeners
into action with her wealth of knowledge in philosophy, studies of
various religions, psychology, metaphysics, spirituality and mythology. Her show ended
after a 12 year run. In 2008 Sandra was
asked to host a cable television show. After recording a series called Food for
Thought, she launching a show called "Thrive" focusing on making life Thrive.
